So one of the parts of the wedding I am most looking forward to is getting a picture with Team Nelsonville. I was thinking about this and everything God has done at that school through faithful and obedient servants. If you didn't know at their last club there were 47 students crammed into a living room. I was last told there were 8 signed up for camp, most of them are underclassmen. My mind is absolutely blown and I cry with pure joy when I hear the news. So I was reminiscing a little about my favorite NY Young Life moments...
-of course my placement at NYHS
-my first campaigners, completely terrified
-Fall Weekend... due to crappy weather we had an impromptu cabin time, the girls' idea
-Campaigner Weekend with Chelsey, Sarah & Randi... Randi peed her pants, I almost peed mine. Also the couch cushion wrestling that occurred.
- Josh tried to spit a loogie out of Tess' window...and missed
- Josh making Tess cry at a team meeting by putting a hairball near her
- Josh & I's "Carpet & Tile Emporium Skit"
- Tess & I trying to learn Arabic
- Tess & Josh slapping each other during team prayer
- When Tess told Josh he was a quarter Ginger and he rolled down all the windows and refused to speak from Pancake Rd. to Athens
- Coming back from the school, buying pints of Ben & Jerry and watching Dodgeball with Josh & Tess
- Bible studies and hanging out with Sarah Davis
- Emmy, may she R.I.P.
- Margaret's first choir concert
- Margaret & I's nearly daily team meetings, all we had to do was hug ;)
- a team meeting consisting of Harry Potter and knitting
- Tim & B.K.'s placement so unexpected and awesome
- going to Casa with Erin & Margaret and then watching Pride & Prejudice while eating straight out of a tub of ice cream
-Seth's highs and lows... 45 minute stories at the beginning of Campaigners
-Assisting JV & Varsity Volleyball and coaching the 7th grade team
-First girls Bible study on Thursday mornings
-seeing Tim, shirtless in a vest during a skit
- BK kicking the dirt clod he always thought was a dog on the side of the road
-Team nap
-My first club talk on Peter
-My last club & all the notes everyone gave me :)
-meeting my future husband :)
and so so many more! I feel incredibly blessed to have been sent to NYHS and to have had amazing co-leaders and met so many great people. I am impatient to see what God has in store next :)
