Journal Project

So, around a year ago I decided to start this project in which I would have a journal for every month. So once the month is over, I would start a new one, so on and so forth for a year. I've finally come full circle & arrived back at my first journal from October of last year. I love rereading old journals for many reasons, it's really cool to see how prayers were answered, how I still struggle with the same things which is humbling, and who I still pray for.
I opened up my journal from a year ago and instantly found a campaigners talk I wrote. I also read this "I'm so excited for what You are doing at NYHS. I pray for continued commitment & energy from all of us." I also found "Lord, I thank you for Bible study. I love that we get to share Your word. God guide our words & actions. Help us to be humble & give all credit to You. I pray we speak only Your truth." I include these, because it's only gotten exponentially more exciting at NYHS in the last year! I got to visit last week & I left on such a high hearing about everything going on, I'm so excited! It's so cool to read about how exciting it was a year ago and now it's even more exciting!
I also prayed a lot about my future, I had applied to grad school by this point and was just waiting. Now I'm in my third semester! It's always good to be reminded of how God has worked in my life, when I was waiting impatiently for everything to unfold.
Lastly I read notes on Hosea, which I'm pretty sure I read with Emily Fox. Hosea also always makes me think of Jen. This led me to think of all the different books that make me think of people when I read them and how there is a sense of fellowship in that. These are all the ones I could think of (I'm sure there are more):
Genesis: Eric
Leviticus: Central - do the series!!!
Deuteronomy: Tess & Jenna
Esther: junior year Bible study
Psalms: Zoe
Isaiah & Ecclesiastes: Emily
Daniel: Emily & Bekah
Hosea: Jen
Mark: Julie Davis, Margaret & NYHS
James: Sarah Davis
John, Romans, Philippians: NYHS

I just thought that was interesting. I'm really excited for the months ahead though and to be reminded of what I was learning a year ago. The last several months have been hard from a lack of fellowship but also a lack of discipline, so I'm hoping this will be encouraging.

Sidenote: I think my handwriting has gotten worse.
